The "San Lorenzo" Archaeological Museum is set within a 13th-century church that still preserves the traces of earlier religious buildings, offering a unique "museum within a museum" experience. Here, Roman Cremona is brought back to life through an exhibition of over 500 artifacts.
The itinerary explores Public Spaces, featuring the monumental remains of a large-scale building, potentially a temple or Cremona’s Roman theater, and Private Life, showcasing the refined world of wealthy domus through splendid mosaics, delicate frescoes, and everyday objects. The tour concludes with the Necropolis, displaying funeral monuments and grave goods.
Don't miss the immersive 3D headset experience, allowing you to virtually walk through the reconstructed rooms of the House of the Nymphaeum.
